Thane Palmer has a BS degree in Family Science from Brigham Young University and an MS degree from Utah State University in Family and Human Development with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Utah. Thane is also a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Thane has dedicated his professional career to working with adolescents and their families, having been a therapist since 1997. He has broad experience working with adoption issues, addiction issues, depression, family and relationship problems, and other mental health concerns. Thane has spent the majority of his career working in residential treatment as a therapist and Clinical Director and excels with this population.
Prior to receiving his degrees, Thane and his wife Heidi (the Sergeant over the Investigations Unit of the St. George Police Department) worked as structured foster parents for a number of years and had numerous children and adolescents come through their care. Thane and Heidi are the parents of eight children - four birth children and four adopted children.
